IoT Node
IoT Node is an ESP32 development & application board. It features modular sensor slot, WiFi + Bluetooth connection and Arduino IDE compatible ESP32 SoC. The ESP32 chip has 4MB Flash, 520KB RAM, dual core processor and numerous peripheral functions. Programming is done by FT231X interface with automatic boot & reset circuit. Our open-standard modular slot makes it super-easy to extend IoT Node's capabilities, without cable mess.

ESP32 SoC
ESP32 is dual-core wireless system on chip. It has 80 to 240MHz CPU, 4MB Flash, 520KB RAM, low power sleep, ADC, SPI, I2C, UART and more. ESP32 is Arduino compatible.
Modular Slot
Modular slot is the easiest way of integrating sensors and other components to your board. Just select and insert our SD card sized modules to the slot and begin coding your project.
Wireless Connection
ESP32 supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connections. You can connect IoT Node to smart phones, access points and even make your Beacon device.
FT231X Interface
FTDI's FT231X connects ESP32 to USB. Drivers are automatically installed on modern operating systems. TX and RX LED's are connected for monitoring.
Auto Boot & Reset
Your system automatically boots itself to programming mode, then resets itself after programming is done.
Extension Pads
IoT Node has power, SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, RTC Oscillator, Boot, Reset and VUSB pins exposed on the sides.
Low ESR Capacitors
2x 900 mOhms 22 uF Tantalum Capacitors supplies required burst current when wireless system operates.
Matte Black Board
For elegant look, IoT Node is made from matt black PCB and gold plated connectors.
IoT Node can be connected to variety of components, via modular slot or expansion pads.

Espressif ESP32-PICO-D4 SoC
ESP32 is Hybrid Wi-Fi & Bluetooth System on Chip.
  • Two independently controlled CPU cores with adjustable clock frequency, ranging from 80 to 240 MHz.
  • 4MB Flash, 520KB RAM.
  • Classic Bluetooth for legacy connections, also supporting L2CAP, SDP, GAP, SMP, AVDTP, AVCTP, A2DP (SNK) and AVRCP (CT).
  • Support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) profiles including L2CAP, GAP, GATT, SMP, and GATT-based profiles like BluFi, SPP-like, etc.
  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connects to smart phones, broadcasting low-energy beacons for easy detection.
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (802.11n up to 150 Mbps).
  • 16 KB SRAM for RTC.
The ESP32 module can be hot when connecting to wireless networks and working at high clock frequencies. The board dispenses ESP32's heat, so the whole board can be hot in some cases. But in most cases, your board will be cold.
FTDI FT231X Full Speed USB to Full Handshake UART
FT231X is a bridge between USB and UART interface.
  • 512 byte receive buffer and 512 byte transmit buffer utilising buffer smoothing technology to allow for high data throughput.
  • UART Interface support for 7 or 8 data bits, 1 or 2 stop bits and odd / even / mark / space / no parity.
  • Transmit and receive LED drive signals.
  • UHCI/OHCI/EHCI Host controller compatible.
  • USB 2.0 Full Speed compatible.
To being your journey with IoT Node, you need to install ESP32 libraries. Then follow samples to get most of your hardware.
ESP32 Arduino Library
ESP32's Arduino Library includes board configurations, libraries and examples of ESP32.
FTDI Drivers
Virtual COM Port Drivers cause the USB device to appear as COM Port on the host computer. It is used for programming and communicating with the ESP32.
